Isn’t wonderful when you find a treasure in your own backyard? On 152 Morrisville Square Way, sits Taste – Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant, an unassuming, yet, surprising delight. As a start to the delectable journey, I ordered the tofu shrimp wrap rolls (Tàu Hủ Ky Cuộn). Rice paper houses a grilled shrimp patty, lettuce, mint, carrots, cucumbers and crispy onion. The roll is served with a special house sauce. Since I am not eating beef or chicken, I could not indulge in the Pho, however, I had an lovely dish called Bún Chả Cá Thăng Long, a fish fillet marinated in curry, paprika and turmeric spices, sautéed with onion and fresh dill. Accompanying the fish is a lime chili fish sauce, a steaming bowl of vermicelli and a side salad of mint, lettuce and carrots. The verdict – absolutely divine! Morrisville might be small in comparison to Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham, but it definitely has some great restaurants.
